Here are a few helpful hints to get you up and running when ordering parts from ThrustMaster.
1. Before taking anything apart make sure that you can get it back together again.
2. If you are doing some repair work that requires the temporary removal of wires take the time to note their location before de-soldering.
3. When contacting the Service Department make sure that you know your date of purchase. This will help the service representative identify the model of your Pro, there may also be a small white sticker on the bottom of the unit with a four digit code (please do not remove) this will also help us identify your unit.
4. Always be careful when replacing springs as they are under tension and could snap backwards if you're not careful.
5. When replacing a pot plate or doing any repairs in the Pro you will need to remove the screws in the top plate of the Pro.
Here are a few tips to remember when removing the screws.
A. Make sure that you have the allen key as far down in the screw as possible.
B. Hold the key with two hands, one on the bent part of the key and the other as far out on the end as possible.
C. Using both hands, apply steady down pressure and slowly rotate the key counter-clockwise.
6. If you get into a jam during a repair STOP what you are doing and call or E-Mail the Service Department.
