Portland, Oregon, December 11, 1995 -- ThrustMaster, Inc. (NASDAQ: TMSR) a leading manufacturer of interactive control devices filed a patent infringement lawsuit in Federal District Court in Portland, Oregon on November 22, 1995 against the parent company of Suncom Technologies, WICO Corporation of Niles, Illinois. In its complaint, ThrustMaster asserts that Suncom is infringing ThrustMaster’s patent rights concerning reconfigurable game and simulation controllers. The patented technology was invented to ease the reconfiguration task for computer game enthusiasts wishing to change the settings on their joysticks. Also in the complaint, ThrustMaster has requested that the court enjoin Suncom from making or selling any joysticks corresponding to the patented technology and is seeking damages.
