MarkII Flight Control System
The original. The stick that spawned a million knock-offs. ThrustMaster's FCS II
(Flight Control System Mark II). The FCS II was the first multi-function joystick on
the market, and even today, is the first choice among PC gamers and simulations
enthusiasts. Designed after the military's F4 Phantom fighter stick, this same model can
be found in today's A-10 tank killing "Warthogs". So effective is its handle design and
button layout that ThrustMaster wasted no time in making it available for PC fighter
jocks and gamers.
The FCS II features three buttons, one trigger, and our patented four-way hat switch.
All buttons and switches can be reached easily and quickly, without all the painful
finger gymnastics. This year's model sports a neoprene rubberized handle inlay,
allowing more comfort, greater control, and less fatigue. A rubber boot has been added
to the base for a cleaner, sharper look. With a moderate spring tension, the FCS II is
ideal for most of your joystick needs.
Due to its popularity, the FCS II is supported in all top flight sims and joystick
intensive games. The FCS II will always function as a two button joystick in non-supported
joystick games.
The FCS II can be hooked up to ThrustMaster's WCS II. By doing so, the FCS II can be user
configurable, allowing the buttons and switches to be programmed to do what you want, not
the game developer. When the FCS II is used with the WCS II, there is never a worry
about whether it is supported in the software because you can make it compatible.
The FCS II comes with a 15-pin standard IBM game card connector on an 8' cable. The base
is 6" square and the FCS is 8 1/2" tall. The FCS II is compatible with IBM style machines
with a 15-pin game port and Tandy series 2500 and above IBM compatibles. The FCS II is
constructed of ABS plastic, Delrin, and glass-filled nylon for years of enjoyment.
ThrustMaster's ACM Game Card is highly recommended for the best
performance of all your ThrustMaster products.
