ThrustMaster awarded top design honor; EIA selects F-16 FLCS for Innovations '95 Award

LAS VEGAS, Nevada, January 6 -- ThrustMaster Inc., the leading manufacturer of interactive controls for PC-based entertainment simulation software announces the selection of their F-16 FLCS as a winner of the Electronic Industries Association's Innovations '95 award. The announcement was made today during the Winter Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

Innovations is the EIA's prestigious program which honors product excellence within the Design and Engineering Honors Program and Software Showcase. The Design and Engineering Honors Program recognizes eight broad categories of hardware including accessible products, audio/video, electronic gaming, lifestyle electronics, mobile and portable electronics, multimedia, small office/home office and vehicle electronics. Entries were judged by a prominent panel of industry experts comprised of industrial designers, engineers and industry trade press under such criteria as product innovation, value to users, aesthetics and contributions to the quality of the user's life.

"The F-16 FLCS demonstrates our commitment to provide computer pilots with the most realistic and technically advanced controls on the market. We are honored to be recognized for this achievement."

Modeled after the F-16 Fighting Falcon, the F-16 FLCS is a multi-function joystick featuring four 4-way hat switches, a dual stage trigger and four strategically placed buttons for controlling vital functions. It is fully programmable for compatibility with all flight simulation software. The F-16 FLCS was released in September 1994 and is currently sold through leading domestic and international resellers.

The F-16 FLCS and other Innovations Honorees will be prominently displayed at the 1995 International Winter Consumer Electronics Show. The showcase exhibit of all Innovations Honorees will be in Booth 13370 in Pavilion E and the F-16 FLCS will be presented and demonstrated in ThrustMaster's Booth 6381 in Pavilion B.
